Hobbies/Interests
Some of the things I enjoy are: Music and playing my drums. I am the drummer for our school's teacher band called "Extra Credit." I also enjoy working in my vegetable garden, reading, and spending time with my family. I believe I have the greatest job in the whole world...most days!
Interesting Trivia
I played basketball for C.O.S before injuring my knee. I also spent some time repossessing cars which was exciting - but dangerous!
Family Life
I am married & have 4 children. My youngest daughter, Savannah, is a sophomore volleyball player at Central Valley High School. My next daughter, Amanda, works at a dental office. She & her husband have a son named Thaddeus. My oldest daughter, Alyssa, lives & works in Chowchilla, CA. My son, Shane, is completing his 6th & final year as a member of the Air Force Special Operations force: he is stationed outside of London, England. Shane is married and also blessed me with another grandson.
Teaching Philosophy
Learning textbook materials & information is certainly valuable, but I also think that we need to help prepare our kids for the "real world". We spend time on development of character traits that will enhance the students' chances of being successful - both in school and in later life. My goal is to help each student become well-rounded. There are six words that my students hear constantly from me: "DO THE RIGHT THING" because life comes down to "CHOICE & CONSEQUENCE."
